AP Anybody wondering what Andre the Giant would have been like as a college basketball player, look no further than Sim Bhullar — New Mexico State’s 7-foot-5, 360-pound freshman from Toronto. Bhullar, the tallest player in college basketball, has 85 blocked shots and led the WAC in field goal percentage at 63.2 percent. Hey, it’s not his fault he is the biggest and the strongest.
Bhullar averaged 10.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game this season, and although raw, is improving with every game — and it should make for a good show as their second-round game with Saint Louis progresses (they’re playing right now). And speaking of that, it should also make for a good show on Twitter, where Bhullar is already somewhat of a sensation. Examples:
