About that. Get well soon. Between the picture of her knee and the description of your femur I’m getting queasy. She’s got a good story about her knee, though. I don’t know the circumstances of you blowing a femur into 7 pieces (field artillery polka comes to mind), but if its something like “tripped and fell down stairs while drunk” you should think up something better than that for your leg.

I’m going to suggest “shark attack” or “drop kicked hand grenade to save an orphanage”. Might as well come up with a good story, eh? You’ll be flat on your back for a while.
