AP How often do you see a goalie chase down a ball from behind, knock it away from the goal, and then save it again on the rebound? Angelo Campos of Peru is Spider-Man. It happened during the CONMEBOL Youth Championship in Argentina recently, when Campos (shown here in a different game) left the box to play a pass and left an open goal. Oops.
But the shot by Uruguayan striker Gonzalo Bueno wasn’t struck very hard, and Campos ran it down and barely stiopped it from going into the goal. Then Bueno booted it again, and Campos blocked it. That all happened with Peru down 3-2, and the game eventually ended in a 3-3 draw.
