Tim Tebow can’t even get off the bench in sporting goods store display (photo)

Tim Tebow AP

Was it really just ten months ago that the nation was gripped by rampant Tebowmania? Now our hero is the subject of cruel jokes and ridicule: and now, the worst cut of all. According to this Twitter photo, a Dick’s Sporting Goods display in New York City featuring players from the New York Jets has Tebow on the bench.

All the other Jets ‘players’ are standing, but Tebow is comfortably seated: not unlike his entire season with New York.

See kids, this is what happens when your jersey sales tank. Last season and into Sept. of this season, Tebow’s was the top-selling jersey in the NFL. However by late November he had slid to No. 8 (Robert Griffin III is now No. 1). Still, Tebow has made quite a lump of cash for folks such as Dick’s, one would assume. Doesn’t that buy any loyalty at all?

Oh, it’s not Tebow. I own his Florida and Denver jersey. I just don’t want a Jets jersey – seriously????? I will be the first one to buy his next jersey – Jacksonville or Dallas!!!! You just can’t give me a Jets jersey – puke! Definitely a loss for NY, not Tebow. The Jets do not deserve someone with the class and integrity of Tebow.

I’m a HUGE Tebow fan…but refused to buy a Jets jersey this year. Looking forward to seeing where he ends up, surely no team would treat him the way NY did.

Dick’s will never see me, my family, or friends in any of their stores again. There are many more Tebow fans out there than they realize and we don’t think his situation is the least bit funny. The Jets are a joke and he certainly deserves a team that will showcase his awesome skills. Can’t wait for him to leave NY! GO TEBOW GO!

Tebow fans are like Republican zealots, twisting actual facts to suit their feelings. Tim Tebow is a nice guy who prays after triumphant moments, but he is not a good passer and never will be. His footwork sucks and his throwing motion assures a high level of inaccuracy. Although he was a great college player, he will never attain that degree of demonstrated excellence as a professional player.

Just because Ryan correctly assessed Tebow’s lack of ability as a professional quarterback is no cause for dumping on the Jets. Tebow’s size and running ability are better suited to playing fullback. Tebow’s limited abilities as a quarterback means he won’t be picked up by anyone except perhaps the Jags so the blind zealots can enjoy their college hero for a few more moments. If he doesn’t switch positions, however, he’ll be gone altogether by 2014.

And Tebow haters are like Democrat zealots, they just plain lie, they don’t even attempt to twist facts.
