Chris Paul tweets that he spotted a college teammate in the audience at the Presidential debate

It kind of figures that the pugilistic nature of Presidential Debate No. 2 would catch the imagination of the sports world. Andy Wheating, the ex-Oregon and U.S. Olympic middle distance runner, was somewhat enthralled Tuesday night: @AndrewWheating Obama with a right hook! Romney swinging blind! *DING* And thats round 2, they’re back to their corners… #PresidentialDebate

Meanwhile, the Clippers’ Chris Paul made a surprising discovery:


John Buck, the boys varsity basketball coach at Long Island Lutheran High School, played with Paul at Wake Forest. The debate was at Hofstra University, in Hempstead, N.Y.

    You didn’t read Wheating’s wikipedia page carefully enough:
    “In Beijing, he finished fourth in his qualifying heat and failed to advance to the semifinals.”

    This is a far cry from finishing 4th in the Olympics.
