If you’re looking for basketball stars of the future, keep an eye on Isaiah Stokes. At 6-foot-7, 220 pounds, he may be one of the best power forwards in the Class of 2017.

Um, that’s not the college class of ’17 we’re talking about, by the way. It’s high school. Isiah Stokes is currently in the eight grade.

Yep. Take a look at this photo of Stokes in a recent middle school football game (he lives in Memphis, Tenn.), chasing down a terrified opponent half his size. Hulk smash! But basketball is where Stokes’ future lies, according to those who have seen him play. He’s the younger brother of University of Tennessee sophomore forward Jarnell Stokes, who at 6-8, 270 is only slightly larger than his little brother.

According to this Twitter account, the U. Tennessee is already recruiting him — although I’m not sure exactly what that means, seeing that the lad is still in middle school.

And yes, Jarnell is quite proud of his “lil big bro.”
