Let’s watch a prep kick returner break 11 tackles in TD run

Maury High School (VA) kick returner Davion Taylor gave everyone on the Woodside High team a chance to tackle him on this return — that was nice of him — but still managed to scored a touchdown. Yep, he broke (by my count) 11 tackles.

It doesn’t seem at first like he could break that many, but with all his juking, some defenders were able to catch up and get another shot at tackling him. All failed. Oh, Taylor also had three receptions for 106 yards and two touchdowns in Maury’s 27-25 victory.

Just a note on the kick return. This play is from a game last Friday’s game Maury played at Lakeland High School in Suffolk, VA. (Note the large “L” on the field) Their game versus Woodside was 2 Friday’s ago. Maury lost this game 37-21.

I saw one, maybe two broken tackles. The rest was just diving at thin air.
