What do you get when you combine Halloween, water skiing and downhill skiing? I don’t know, but they’re doing it in Siberia. Actually it’s called puddle skiing, and it’s how the folks in Krasnoyarsk, Russia end the ski season. Many attempt to ski down the hill and water ski over the 65-foot puddle to the other side, but few are successful. The only person to do it in the video below is Darth Maul. But then he’s a Sith Lord.

Many Krasnoyarsk residents came to cheer for the most unusual costumes, which included mask from such films as “Saw”, “Scream” and “Avatar”.

“I had a lot of very nice feelings and a lot of adrenaline. Everything is so cool. It’s the first time I’ve taken part in such a competition, but I think there should be more of them so people could relax amidst their routine city life. Here is the perfect place for it,” said Russian snowboarding champion Alexei Boldykov who also took part.

How is this even blog worthy? Slush Cups are prevalent at most decent size ski areas in… AMERICA. Dig a snow hole. Line it with plastic. Fill it with water. Travis Rice himself competed in an event just like this in Girdwood, AK at the Alyeska Resort this past weekend. I attempted the feat at my own ski area in Juneau, AK two weeks ago. I did eat it hard, but almost half of the 45 contestants made it across the 110′ pool.
