Former Sacramento Kings star Doug Christie and wife are getting into the porn business. Wait, what?

Of course you remember Doug Christie, the 6-foot-6 shooting guard out of Pepperdine who had a 15-year NBA career with eight teams — most significantly the Raptors (four seasons) and the Kings (five). And you may know his wife, Jackie, from Basketball Wives. Christie, who has admitted to marital infidelity in the past (he retired from the NBA in 2007), has a full wedding ceremony to renew his vows with his wife every year. And subscribing to the belief that the family that’s in business together stays together, the two are about to, well, let’s let the Houston Press describe the venture:

According to Rolling Out, Jackie Christie is about to get into something even messier than the drama on “Basketball Wives” — the Adult Videos industry. She and her husband, Doug, reportedly stopped by the Ricky Smiley morning show yesterday and dropped a bomb on the airwaves: they’re making an adult film.

There is some relief to this news, and that’s the fact that Jackie and Doug won’t actually star in the movie, but they will produce the film — which makes me wonder how one decides to jump into the Adult Videos business after 20 years of marriage. And yes, I say one because this had to be all Jackie’s idea and Doug just tagged along as usual.

Another fun fact:

Jackie was known for her time in Sacramento for two things — forbidding Doug to talk to female reporters and getting into an actual fight with former Laker Rick Fox in the tunnel after Fox and her husband got into a tussle on the court.

Christie was also known for flashing secret hand signals to his wife while on the court for the Kings. Although he wasn’t a great NBA player, he did manage to beat the odds and stay married for more than 20 years. Although that union was at times rockier than Nikolai Valuev’s forehead.

There is Billions of $$$$ in porn, if they do it right, why not?

And there is free porn on youporn so why bother producing a porn movie that no one will buy because there isn’t a need to anymore?

I’ve got an idea… how about NOT getting into it because it’s immoral and unethical and sends a wrong message to kids? Just a thought. Amazing how a slut and a has-been would stoop to such a low level to make a buck. I’d love to know what goes through a person’s mind right before they say, “yeah, I want to make porn films for a living”.

Is he trying to circumvent the new codom law in porn since he would be filming with his wife?
