WWE champ wants to ‘choke out’ Chris Brown in the ring, because he beat up a woman

Perhaps ticked off by his recent appearance on stage at the Grammys, WWE champion CM Punk has issued another challenge to singer Chris Brown, and one again it involves gloves and various promises of pain. CM wants to pummel Brown in the ring because, CM says, “he’s not a man.” That’s some classic pro wrestling hyperbole right there, only this time it’s real.

As we all know, Brown beat up singer Rhianna, with whom he was having a relationship, in 2008 — a pretty brutal assault which left her with a split lip, bruises, and other wounds. Brown was eventually convicted of domestic assault and sentenced to five years of probation, one year of domestic violence counseling and six months of community service — a punishment deemed too light by many critics, including, most definitely, CM Punk.

(Here’s my favorite part of the sentence: The judge retained a five-year restraining order on Brown, which requires him to remain 50 yards away from Rihanna, 10 yards at public events).

So CM tweeted that he wants to meet Brown in the ring.

@CMPunk
I would like @chrisbrown fight somebody that can defend themselves. Me curb stomping that turd would be a #wrestlemania moment.

And the two have been sniping back and forth on Twitter about it.

@chrisbrown
Positivity regardless of how u feel! @CMpunk contact my assistant and I’ll have em send u an autographed pic for my biggest FAN!!

Brown later accused CM of taking steroids … a tweet he has since deleted.

@chrisbrown
@CMpunk needs more followers. He’s such a leader! Not to mention the roids hes on has made it utterly impossible for him pleasure a women.

But that caused CM to respond with a video on Twitter. Here it is.

Excerpt:

“I’m a lifelong, proud, drug-free individual, so Chris Brown and I come from two different backgrounds. … I donlt think that Chris has paid for what he’s done. Picking up trash on the side of the highway does not make amends for repeatedly striking a woman in the face and sending her to a hospital. …

“Chris wants to throw some stones my way now and that’s fine, but put some gloves on and let’s get in the ring. I will choke you out and make you feel as weak and as powerless and scared and alone as any woman who has had the misfortune of knowing a sad cowardly little boy such as yourself.”

Wow. Brown has been receiving all kinds of abuse from wrestling fans on his Twitter account, which we know because he’s responded to a few of them, and many have been copied to CM. Brown has now tweeted that he’s done with the feud (challenge not accepted, obviously). Stay tuned, I have a feeling this isn’t over … especially since Brown and Rihanna have just collaborated on two songs.

Brown’s dance card is rather full, by the way. Here’s another guy who wants to fight him.

    Who’s more of an idiot?CM Punk for making this challenge or Chris Brown for even dignifying it.If Brown wants to clean up his image quit acting like a jackass and stop getting into these childish”Twitter wars” with country stars and pro wrestlers.And who the hell is CM Punk?Wrestling hasn’t been relevant since Vince bought WCW.

      I’m sure you expected people to laugh or even be slightly amused by that comment…but yeah, you kinda missed the mark there. Good try though.

        They can’t all be winners. *shrug*

    I can see it now at wrestlemania, a mixed tag team match between CM Punk and Miranda Lambert (who has also publicly called Brown out) vs Chris Brown and Flava Flav.

    Yeah boooyyyyeeeee!

    I’m sure Rihanna deserved it, you know how things get blown out of porortion…plus I’m sure she can be quite a handful to deal with so I don’t blame the guy honestly.
