In case you lost faith in humanity this week, here’s a story about some Canadian minor league hockey players saving the life of a little puppy.
Three players from the WHL’s Prince Albert Raiders found an abandon puppy in a truck on a frigid Saskatoon night back in January and sprung into action to save the little guy from freezing to death in the frosty weather.
The players ended up taking him to the local SPCA and since then, the dog named “Raider” has a new place to call home after being adopted:
Shane Danyluk, Josh Morrisey, and Carson Perraux rescued Raider from the back of a truck on a freezing January night, since then he’s nearly doubled in size. The Raiders players are happy their little friend has found a home.
“It’s really nice, I’m really happy for him, that someone in North Vancouver would want to adopt him and give him a nice home. It’s nice to see,” says Danyluk.
That might be the best assist that the Raiders have this entire season.
