Getty Images One thing that you can’t say about the University of Alabama football recruiting process is that they aren’t persistent.
Four-star running back recruit Alvin Kamara has been on Alabama’s radar and it appears that they really want him to be the next star tailback with the Crimson Tide.
How badly do they want him? Kamara received 105 recruiting letters from the school in a single day:
“Yea it was 1 days worth of mail!” Kamara said via Twitter.
“I counted!” Kamara said. “And I took pictures. I was shocked. I didn’t expect there to be that many in the mailbox. When I opened it, it was overflowing and some of them fell out.”
Kamara has already visited Alabama and it appears to be high on his list:
“I went there and it went well,” Kamara told Rivals.com. “I liked the atmosphere. It’s SEC football. It’s big-time football. You can feel it when you go up there.”
Kamara has become a hot commodity in the 2013 college football recruiting class after rushing for over 1,300 yards in his junior season at Georgia’s Norcross high school. To date, seven other division one schools have sent him letters…just not 105 of them.
