The Kate Upton SI Swimsuit cover was leaked by a gas station in Michigan

Feb 13, 2012, 4:30 PM EDT

Well, the bikini model is out of the bag, it appears. According to several sources, among them, this here is the cover of the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, which goes on sale Tuesday. It’s Kate Upton, folks. But you’ll never guess how this info was leaked.

TMZ has learned … a few of the issues arrived early to a gas station in Michigan.

A gas station in Michigan! “I’ll have this Slurpee, a package of turkey jerky, and … whoa! SI Swimsuit Issue is here!”

As Dennis Farina said in episode 2 of HBO’s Luck: “Don’t you ever knock this f****** country to me.”

And here’s the billboard in Manhattan, which was supposed to be unveiled tonight during David Letterman’s show. So it looks like the cover is real (and it’s fantastic).

UPDATE: More Upton SI swimsuit photos.

Holy balls, I’ve seen bigger bikini bottoms made out of a dorito and fishing line. Not that I’m complaining though.

Yeah, but doesn’t that area look like it’s been photoshopped? Not that she needs it…

Every photo in magazines are photoshopped these days, but I think what it noticable here has more to do with the quality of the photo of the magazine cover than the actual picture on the actual cover.

I’ll have to take an extremely long, close look at it to make a final judgement!! =)

You’d think in the interest of integrity of journalism they would have left a little bit of the airstrip before photoshopping her. Betcha sales would increase…

Meh. Not a very well done cover for SI. Average at best.

You sir are an idiot. I would lick that until my face looked like a glazed donut.

” I would lick that until my face looked like a glazed donut.” The magazine? Happens, but I wouldn’t post about it…. that’s just me.

Was talking the ‘cover’, not the model. I thought it could have been done much better. Don’t think it did her hotness justice.

      U must be a homo

      • enx31 - Mar 20, 2012 at 1:28 AM

ah what does homo mean to you exactly? A 30 year fan of the SI Swimsuit issue? when i say cover, i meant the production/artistic effort. the models are of course always 10s, as is she.

At that point, why bother with a swimsuit at all? Really.

  5. goodguyattorney - Feb 14, 2012 at 7:44 AM

The whole bikini bottom and purported anatomy in that area looks really odd – unnatural. Heck, look how high her navel is up from her “bikini.” Is that natural? Once you stand back and look at these pics they start to look really odd. Give me those 70’s and 80’s era covers any day over these.

    • guinsrule - Feb 14, 2012 at 2:45 PM

I think 70’s grooming habits would preclude a women from wearing a bottem like that.

My point is the bikini bottom part of the photo looks more like a mannequin than a human female. Whether it’s an egyptian cat or not, that just ain’t the way they look.

I’d rather see her doing this:

The U.S. should air drop a few million copies of this over Iran.

I think women (and the media) care more about the swimsuit issue anymore. In the age of internet porn, I think even teenage boys would probably ask “What’s the big deal? She’s not even naked.”
