Brandon Jacobs on Gisele Bundchen: ‘Just stay cute and shut up’

Feb 8, 2012, 9:41 AM EDT

Tom Coughlin, Brandon Jacobs AP

On Monday we went over the whole Gisele Bundchen Super Bowl thing, in which Tom Brady’s wife was caught on video blaming the Patriots’ receivers for the loss. So during the Giants’ victory parade on Tuesday, of course NY running back Brandon Jacobs was asked what he thought about those quotes.

When Jacobs was asked about that during Tuesday’s festivities at MetLife Stadium, the always-vocal tailback didn’t hesitate to tell Bundchen to keep her mouth shut.

“She just needs to continue to stay cute and shut up,” he told reporters.

The Giants’ Osi Umenyiora was a bit more diplomatic.

“I mean she’s supposed to stay out of things like that. But at the end of the day that’s their relationship and she has the right to say whatever she wants to.”

Gisele’s been taking her lumps in the Boston media, as well.

Attorney Joesph P DeStefano said: “The Patriots have not won a Super Bowl since Brady’s been with Gisele.

“Sports radio guys in Boston have called Gisele Yoko Ono for years, but now with her comments after the Super Bowl, it’s reached a peak. For example, on WEEI this morning the whole crew mocked her, saying that she should have kept her mouth shut.”

The Boston Herald’s Raakhee Mirchandani described her as “all beauty, little brain.”

Cute?? Beauty?? I don’t understand? I’m not trying to be mean but do guys not see that she has horse face. She has man hands too. The word “supermodel” is very overrated.

    • rufe - Feb 8, 2012 at 11:54 AM

“They” consider Elle McPherson a ‘supermodel’ also. I don’t get it either. She’s a stick with a plain Jane face.

    • kyleortonsarm - Feb 8, 2012 at 12:53 PM

You should see the “model” who is all mangled up after walking into an airplanes propeller while it was still running. On top of being almost completely mentally retarded, she had one of the most horrific looking faces I’ve ever seen before the accident. I’m sure by now she looks like the Edward James Olmos.

      • 2difshoe - Feb 8, 2012 at 6:53 PM

Kyleortonsarm;….you sure you weren’t hit by the same propeller ?

Sometimes it is best to remain silent and considered a fool than to speak and remove all doubt !

    • djrickyv - Feb 8, 2012 at 12:59 PM

Don’t fret! Ladies the truth is that guys don’t judge on a 1-10 scale. It’s binary: I’d hit it or I wouldn’t hit it. lol

    • fouldwimmerlaik - Feb 8, 2012 at 1:51 PM

I have wondered this same thing for years. She (as are MANY so called “supermodels”) is borderline ugly. Definitely a manface, or a horseface, or a manhorseface. She looks like someone’s brother. Whoever appoints “supermodel” status obviously must be a chick.

    • protius - Feb 9, 2012 at 12:02 AM

Honey, If anyone would know anything about a horse face, it would be a girl from Texas.

  2. nigelben - Feb 8, 2012 at 10:19 AM

Maybe these highly paid athletes should shut up. I suspect most regular people feel the same way. Maybe if the Patriots Defense had managed to do their job in the final 3 minutes then they wouldn’t have lost. All they had to do was stop a 90 yard drive and they couldn’t do it. Pathetic.

As for the receivers they are paid big bucks to catch the ball, when its near you and you are open catch it for crying out loud

    • lanpar - Feb 8, 2012 at 10:59 AM

well if patriots had the drive…hmmmm would you talk about the “amazing tom brady ?”…..well he had a chance and could not respond…..Giants have big mouths but they backed it up with the win

  3. Amadeus - Feb 8, 2012 at 10:24 AM

Jacobs thinks he can exercise his First Amendment right of free speech but Gisele can’t.

  4. washstnative - Feb 8, 2012 at 10:36 AM

Hmm, methinks Mr. Brady should trade-in Gisele for an American model like uh…Kate Upton

  5. barryblogs - Feb 8, 2012 at 10:41 AM

I think Brandon Jacobs should shut up about other players’ wives, as should everyone else. Man, she was being heckled by idiot Giant fans and said stuff not meant for cameras or video in a tough moment….give her and Tom Brady a break. Hey Giants, you won, you’re the dynasty now, enjoy it with some class. Oops that’s not possible.

    • drewsylvania - Feb 8, 2012 at 1:09 PM

Two SBs in five years is not a dynasty.

      • 2difshoe - Feb 8, 2012 at 6:59 PM

        Exactly Drewsylvania….Chicago Bulls….. 6 Titles in 7 years, now that’s a dynasty !

  6. joninks - Feb 8, 2012 at 10:41 AM

LOL @ Tom Brady. Man you married a high maintenance woman. Now reap the benefits of that.

amadeus – 1st amendment only governs what the government can/cant (or shouldnt) do to you. It doest cover what is said from person to person. either which way, a smart woman would have shut her mouth. how do you think the team will back brady now that his woman has blasted its members? just another good looking, high maintenance chick with 0 street smarts.

    • lanpar - Feb 8, 2012 at 11:01 AM

good one….a lot of people have no clue what the first amendment means….they like throwing the word around…..hahahahah

    • drewsylvania - Feb 8, 2012 at 12:56 PM

If making $25M a year is high-maintenance, I’ll take it.

  7. thejokewriter - Feb 8, 2012 at 10:41 AM

Remember the catch Nick Nolte made in North Dallas Forty on the gym floor to prove he wasn’t washed up? He got cracked hard and he held on to the ball. Those are the catches you’re supposed to make in the biggest game of the year. Jackie Smith…Jackie Smith…Jackie Smith.

  8. hawkinsob - Feb 8, 2012 at 11:07 AM

Agree 100% with barryblogs. The QBs wife was caught on camera saying something in his defense that wasn’t meant for public consumption, right after a tough loss. And she was talking about drops by receivers? Big deal. Compare that to some opposing player talking smack about Brady’s wife. She didn’t say anything negative about the Giants anyway.

Keep publicizing player comments about other player’s wives Rick Chandler, its important journalistic work you’re doing.

    • johninpa - Feb 8, 2012 at 11:54 AM

In this day of modern electronics, every high profile person knows (or should know) that their every word and action will probably be recorded. If she wanted to talk smack about the Patriot receivers, she should have done it away from the crowds. An intelligent person understands this – she must not qualify.

    • drewsylvania - Feb 8, 2012 at 1:05 PM

      And we eat it up.

  9. winkeroni - Feb 8, 2012 at 11:23 AM

I do belive Gisele is the bread winner in the Brady household. Her time is valuable than Brandon’s, Tom’s, and Osi’s.

    • drewsylvania - Feb 8, 2012 at 1:04 PM

    • ihcone - Feb 8, 2012 at 2:17 PM

Yes, Gisele is the breadwinner in that family, by far. She gets to say whatever she wants.

  10. nogoodell - Feb 8, 2012 at 11:24 AM

Gisele contributed more in the game than Jacobs

  11. metitometin - Feb 8, 2012 at 12:00 PM

What a classless comment from a classless organization. The Giants need to stay out of this. This is between Gisele and Brady and Brady and the Patriots. The Giants have all been incredibly annoying and disrespectful to anyone and everyone during the playoffs. They all just need to shut up.

    • bozosforall - Feb 8, 2012 at 4:39 PM

Classless organization? Nah, that title belongs to the New England Patriots…excusemakers for cheating the game via Spygate. If Kraft had an ounce of “class”, he would have fired Belichick for besmirching the Patriots’ name. He didn’t, so he has no class whatsoever.

  12. sysi45 - Feb 8, 2012 at 12:40 PM

Jacobs needs to shut up. If his comments were made by a 1st string running back, I might listen but he is the wrong person to be running his mouth.

  13. drewsylvania - Feb 8, 2012 at 12:58 PM

You can be sure that, next year, the team will work extra hard to make Jacobs eat turf. Don’t expect to call out some guy’s wife and get away with it.

    • johninpa - Feb 8, 2012 at 1:14 PM

But in turn, a player’s wife shouldn’t be calling out his own team mates.

      • drewsylvania - Feb 8, 2012 at 1:29 PM

No–but the comeuppance is going to be worse for Jacobs.

  14. drewsylvania - Feb 8, 2012 at 12:59 PM

Why, Giants, do you want to act like the Jets?

  15. bustingtail - Feb 8, 2012 at 1:05 PM

I am not a Pats fan and definitely not a Brady fan but she was spot on. Truth hurts sometimes. Ask any pro WR – if you get two hands on a ball, you need to come up with it. Brady played a solid game. While my vote is worthless, he should have been MVP this year. 13-3 with that cast of characters around him was astonishing. I’d take him as my team’s QB any day of the week.

    • drewsylvania - Feb 8, 2012 at 1:12 PM

Safetying himself kinda rules him out of a solid game.

  16. guinsrule - Feb 8, 2012 at 2:19 PM

It’s not Gisele’s fault the Patriots lost, they lost because of THE CURSE OF SPYGATE.

    • drewsylvania - Feb 8, 2012 at 2:25 PM

Thanks for being the biggest idiot in this thread.

      • bozosforall - Feb 8, 2012 at 4:41 PM

        That would be you, drewsavaginah.

  17. goforthanddie - Feb 8, 2012 at 2:49 PM

Brady should be the one telling her to shut her cockhole.. But as long as someone says it…

  18. berbes - Feb 8, 2012 at 2:55 PM

maybe she was just cranky after purging all that free food in the owners suite?

  19. bchapman2011 - Feb 8, 2012 at 3:04 PM

Jacobs had the just shut up part right but I am not sure about the stay cute portion of his statement.
I still cannot figure out how this girl made supermodel status. She is not cute at all……6 out of 10 at best and that is after 5 beers.

  20. dowhatifeellike - Feb 8, 2012 at 4:51 PM

    Headline + picture = brilliance.

I’m not surprised Gisele is defending Tom; everyone knows she’s the man of the house. She’s protecting her b***h. I bet she bends him over and pegs him with a strap-on when he loses.
