Poll: Which NFL QB would Americans choose for President? You know the answer

Yep, it’s Tim Tebow, Commander in Chief. In a recent Reuters/Ipsos online poll, people were asked which NFL playoff quarterback would get their vote for president, and Tebow came in first by a rather wide margin — 8 percent over the No. 2 choice, Eli Manning. However, although Tebow was first overall, he was not first among Democrats. That nod went to Eli Manning. Tebow was first among Republicans, with 39 percent of the vote. He was third among Independents.

Overall, Tom Brady was third, and Drew Brees fourth. Wither Aaron Rodgers? That one surprises me … probably suffered for votes because he’s stuck up in Green Bay.

Meanwhile, my choice, Joe Flacco, just fixed the economy and stopped world terrorism in my computer simulation. So suck it, Reuters/Ipsos.

Of course, at 24, Tebow is too young by the standards of the U.S. Constitution to be president (you have to be at least 35). There might also be questions over whether he could be disqualified because he was born in the Philippines – his parents were American missionaries.

But this isn’t real life, this is football.

“For all the support I’m very appreciative, it means a lot,” Tebow told Reuters on the sidelines of the pre-game festivities for the Super Bowl in Indianapolis.

Asked if he would consider a political career at some stage he said: “Maybe one day in the future, not right now though.”

Only 11 years until he’s eligible to be president, folks. Let’s start up those Super PACs.

Tim Tebow wasn’t born in America, so he can’t run for president, unless he was born on the U.S. embassy, not sure if he was or wasn’t and don’t really care, the law is stupid to begin with.

Could you actually imagine having a President with morals in this country? That would be some CHANGE!

Tebow would be a better choice than anything the GOP (Greedy Ole-Boy Party) has to offer.

    How did John Beck finish?

My money would be on Tebow, although not sure he was born in U.S. Was’t his parents missionaries & he was born in the Philippines or somewhere overseas? But the young man would make an excellent President. Probably one of the best ever.

What a merry time of misrule that would be!
