“Let’s go Heat! Let’s go Heat! Let’s go … um … heh, heh. Sorry dad.”
It happened on Sunday in Miami, when ABC cameras panned the crowd at the Bulls-Heat game, and caught young Carmani Boozer, eldest son of the Bulls’ Carlos Boozer, cheering for the Heat. When Lisa Salters pointed out that the Boozers live in Miami, and that Carmani had spent time in Miami Children’s Hospital being treated for a form of Sickle Cell Anemia, Jeff Van Gundy responded:
“Yeah but if I’m pops, and I’m watching this film, and my kid is yelling ‘Let’s go Heat,’ like we just saw, I got a problem. You can’t go against pop’s team! … Oh no, no. We’re going to have to have a long talk.”
