Remember back in January of 2009, when a Dallas-area varsity girls basketball team, the Covenant School, beat Dallas Academy 100-0? That caused all manner of controversy — and the losing team even ended up on Good Morning, America. Wellsir, the coach of that losing team, Andrew Lott, has got himself into a bit of trouble.

Lott isn’t at Dallas Academy anymore — since 2010, he’s been a boys assistant football coach at Mesquite High, which is also in the Dallas area. And that’s where he was arrested on Thursday, accused of having an improper relationship with a 17-year-old female student.

Andrew Lott, 33, is accused of having a relationship with the girl, a 17-year-old senior at Mesquite High, starting at the beginning of the school year, Lt. Bill Hedgpeth said Friday.

Absolutely nothing else to say about this (zips lip), so let’s let the wheels of justice do their thing.

H/T Lew Patton.
