Westboro Baptist Church debuts its ‘GOD H8S JOEPA’ sign at Paterno memorial

Getty Images Those wacky hatemongers at the Westboro Baptist Church made good on their promise to picket Joe Paterno’s memorial service today in Happy Valley, although from what I can determine by this report, their turnout was pretty low. One woman did proudly display her ‘GOD H8S JOEPA’ sign, however, which surprisingly did not end up broken over her head by Franco Harris.

It’s a good thing God doesn’t exist or these people would really be in for it once they finally die.

I look forward to Fred’s funeral, the turnout will be beyond anyone’s wildest dreams.

I am in no hurry to shed this mortal coil, but if I should go before Fred Phelps, Founder of the Westboro Baptist Church(?), I want to be at the Pearly Gates when he shows up and hear Saint Peter say, “Really?”

When these people picket fallen soldiers funerals, they make me sick. They are worshipping publicity, not God. They protest the very people who give them the right to protest, to be free. Disgusting.
