Nature’s ancient rivalry: cat vs. alligator (video)

Jan 24, 2012, 9:49 AM EDT

A common housecat is not afraid to smack a hungry alligator repeatedly in the snout, and yet we can’t successfully organize a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight? Humans should be filled with shame. The only way this could be better is if it were narrated by David Attenborough: it’s the Cajun Pride Swamp Tours in New Orleans, in a video taken in Nov. of 2010, although I don’t recall seeing it until now. And if I had seen a video of a cat sparring with an alligator, I think I’d remember it.

A great video! Either the cat was without fear or just wanted some chicken! ha. Don’t get between a Cajun and his food, even if that Cajun is a cat!

Cajun Pride Swamp Tours (or any of their tours) are really good. Have taken family and friends on several and all are very interesting. However, they are not located in New Orleans, but rather in LaPlace I-55 exit 1, I-10 Exit 209, 800-467-0758.

The lady’s voice in the video..”What is the cat’s end game?”

Come on lady, what do you think is happening here.??? The cat wants the food and so does the gator…sheesh, it doesn’t take a degree from Stanford to figure this out right?

Like she is so smart with the obvious question, (in my Pee Wee Herman voice) What is the cat’s end game? hehe
