Getty Images Kobe’s ex-wife is about to become even richer, if the producers of Basketball Wives get their way. Having just received a $75 million divorce settlement (including three mansions), Vanessa Bryant is about to get an “extremely lucrative” offer from the VH1 television show, according to TMZ.
As one source put it, “Vanessa has more than enough storyline and would bring the show to another level.”
As for the timing — we’re told producers never dreamed of approaching Vanessa while she was married to Kobe … and our sources say Vanessa would NOT have been receptive.
Forget the prenup … did Kobe think to have Vanessa sign a confidentiality agreement?
I’m not a regular viewer of Basketball Wives, and by that I mean I’ve never watched a minute of it, but I know that it’s about to begin its fourth season, and is becoming increasingly popular. The show is filmed in Miami (I think), but Vanessa would be the lead in the second season of the Los Angeles-based spinoff, Basketball Wives: LA.
In case you haven’t seen this show, here’s a plot synopsis from an episode in Season 3, so you can get an idea on what you’ve been missing:
Royce’s father is concerned about her new boyfriend. Meanwhile, Evelyn looks into a fertility clinic as she prepares to start a family with Chad Ochocinco. Suzie and Royce meet together with Jennifer and Evelyn, which blows up after Evelyn throws a drink at Royce, which leads the two women throwing punches until security breaks them up.

i didnt wanna comment on this before bc of my respect for Kobe Bryant,
but who is this chick?
Kobe took her from the projects to royalty, and now she wants to be a Kim Kardashian ,
she was always jealous of Khloe Kardashian and her sisters spotlight, she hated it in LA,
they get all the press, and she was just “Kobes wife”,
she wants 75 mill? for what? . for hitting all those game winners? or triple doubles?!!?
and then women wonder why guys act like “players” and twist ‘em & diss ‘em ,
its for stuff like this, u cant trust women , period.
i would have a women sign all types of stuff before marriage,
THE SAD THING – is , honestly, this whole thing is gonna sound anti – gender and offensive (it is) , but HONESTLY – there are a TON of decent, down to earth, pretty, intelligent women out there, who do NOT deserve guys to treat them bad, and deserve a good guy , I get that , thats cool ,
but then from a guys point of view , u see something like this, and then u have ur own experiences with “tricky” , “sheisty” girls , and then it kinda ruins it for all the other good girls out there, its like they never even get a chance,
its women like this one , that give women a bad name, period.
