Joe Biden says the San Francisco Giants will win the Super Bowl

We haven’t heard a lot from Joe Biden in the past four years — something the upcoming presidential campaign will remedy. And that’s a good thing. Because I love me some Joe Biden malaprops. The latest — while speaking at a political fundraiser in San Francisco’s financial district on Wednesday, the Vice President told crowd at Bently Reserve: “The Giants are on their way to the Super Bowl!”

The comment quickly drew “good-natured” boos from the pro-49ers crowd, according to the Oakland Tribune.

Biden then corrected himself, saying he was still stuck on the 2010 World Series race. This may be one of the reasons that the Obama administration only allowed one newspaper reporter to attend the event: and he was from Oakland. Biden malaprop fear is a real thing. For the rest of the campaign he will be packed in bubble wrap and stored in the White House basement.

If he said it, you can bet it’s the kiss of death for the niners.

He is as right about the San Francisco Giants winning the super bowl as anything else that falls out of his mouth.

And of course, he’s used to telling people what they want to hear so he can get elected.

It won’t top “Stand up Chuck!”, however.
