Give in to the Bark Side: The Super Bowl XLVI commercial race has begun, and we may already have a winner (video)

Dogs barking the theme to Star Wars? How can that not be full of win? This isn’t the actual Volkswagen spot that will run during the Super Bowl … call it a prequel. Volkswagen says that its real commercial will be based on the one below that was just released on YouTube. And if it’s anywhere near as good as this, I think we have a winner.

Volkswagen is also offering something called an Intergalactic Invite, in which you can send out a Star Wars-themed online Super Bowl party invitations. Could Lucasfilm’s involvement here have anything to do with the fact that its first 3D re-release, Phantom Menace, is due in theaters Feb. 10? As the Ewok dog said: “Nub nub!”
