Tim Howard’s coast-to-coast goal defied about four laws of physics (video)

Getty Images I think I saw this in Son of Flubber, but never expected it in real life. Tim Howard — yes, he’s a goalkeeper — somehow convinced God to blow the ball the length of the field on this kick to give Everton a 1-0 lead in its Barclays Premier League opener against Bolton Wanderers at Goodison Park in Liverpool today. Bolton eventually equalized, and it ended 1-1 won, 2-1. But that goal was something, eh?
Now how about some of this magic for the U.S. team, Tim?

Everton lost 2-1, the game didn’t end 1-1. Ref: BBC Sport.
What’s with all the ‘God’ stuff lately? Just got done reading the crazies on the Maher post. Sheesh…

It’s cool that you don’t believe that doesn’t bother me one bit. But it’s another think to keep calling the believers crazy. I don’t call you crazy because you don’t believe, so don’t call me crazy for believing. It’s one thing to have an opinion but by calling us names and shouting slurs at us is quite over the line and childish.

1-I can’t see where he said he didn’t believe. I don’t see where he calls you anything, seeing as how you hadn’t even posted yet.
2-Sad fact: Just like some atheists carry it too far, so do some believers.
3-Be ye not so touchy.

One, He makes it clear that he doesn’t believe because he calls the believers crazy.
two, I’m not taking it too far i’m only asking for people to just shut up and respect that people believe. If you don’t like it you can simply say i just don’t believe instead of calling people childish names. It’s quite simple.
three- i’m not touchy in these situations. But when someone calls me crazy for believing in God, then thats crossing the line.
four- it’s one thing if someone mentions God in a post that great! good for them. And it’s great for one to have his or her own opinion. But the moment someone bashes the author for writing about God it is wrong. People should not do that as Christians should not shove their religions down others throat and bash the non-believers. Go ahead and say you don’t believe but just leave it at that. Was I just throwing my religion in your face? I don’t believe I have. I merely broke down your argument and rebutted against yours. (You never talked about this I’m just trying to prove a point.)

Yeah, sticking “God” in there was pretty stupid. Nice goal though.
