When the idea of Santa Claus is brought up to most young children, they usually have a positive reaction to the man who rides around in a sleigh and gives them presents on Christmas.

However as a child, Alabama head football coach Nick Saban might have had a different reaction to Jolly Old Saint Nick coming to his house from the other boys and girls.

Saban recently revealed in an interview that he had a fear of Santa when he was younger and during Christmas time, let’s say little Nick Saban wasn’t incredibly excited for Santa to come:

I was scared to death every time Santa Claus came,” Saban said. “And I for the life of me can’t figure out why.”

“Other than that (his fear of Santa Claus), Christmas has always been good,” Saban said. “It’s not what you get it’s what you give.”

Hopefully, Saban will have a good Christmas this year and a BCS National Championship will be stuffed in his stocking.

Ben: Are you a Bama apologist? If not, why the closing line: “Hopefully, Saban will have a good Christmas this year and a BCS National Championship will be stuffed in his stocking.”

Sorry to hear little Nicky was afraid of the big bad Saint Nick! Nowadays, he is afraid of the Mad Hatter who beat him 3 of the last 5 games, even at Loosa. With all the All Americans Bama has and all the top recruits, how does LSU have their number 9 of the last 12 meetings and soon to be 10 of the lasts 13.

Miles and team and a huge number of LSU fans will be waiting for you in the Dome on Jan. 9th.

Ben: Saban is a great coach but your Bama supporter bias really doesn’t belong in these columns! Geaux Tigers!
