Is there anything more terrifying than the notion of Jar Jar Binks on a snowboard?

Answer: No. On Tuesday we brought you the story of the Sierra-at-Tahoe ski resort’s new Burton Star Wars Experience, a training center the resort claims will teach youngsters snowboarding techniques “with Jedi Master Yoda’s methods of balance, movement, and control.” They’re also using Star Wars wood carving sculptures to lure in the kids: Young Anakin, Ewoks, Yoda — they’re all there. But absent from the photos sent to me by the resort was the carving of Jar Jar Binks, even though Sierra-at-Tahoe said there was one. Was the park holding out on us, for fear of a Jar Jar reader backlash?
Received in my morning email from the resort:
Wanted to get you a picture of Jar Jar Binks. It’s not that we do not see him as a selling point but he’s yet to be moved outside where he’ll be for the duration of the season. We did not want to mislead our guests. He’ll be placed outside on one of the three nodes once we get enough snow.
Free Jar Jar! Meesa not find this annoying one bit. Muy muy like this.
