California high school football player flops after getting punched (video)

Normally, flopping is a term reserved for basketball and soccer but somehow it has found its way into high school football.

The incident happened in a high school football game between Gunn High School and Lynbrook High School in Northern California. After a Gunn wide receiver scores a touchdown, it looks like a Lynbrook defender says something to him which causes the Gunn wide receiver to approach him.

During the exchange between the two, the Gunn player decides to deliver a punch to the defender’s head which doesn’t appear to do anything until seconds later as the Lynbrook defender flops to the ground:
