AP Actually I’m not sure what this is supposed to represent: but a man named Ed Temple, whom I assume is a Penn State grad, thought it was important to drive around the State College campus today with a cutout figure of a youngish Joe Paterno in the back seat. Is this in support of Paterno? Or is Temple taking the coach, as they say in the Mafia, “for a ride”? And why is Temple holding, of all things, a wiener dog? The answers are shrouded in mystery.
Much clearer was this protest in front of the Old Main, in which Penn State students registered their disgust over the administration’s handling of the molestation scandal. Also, grads are showing up on campus and burning their diplomas.
Should they put a guard on the Joe Paterno statue?

Maybe the driver is trying to depict JoePa leaving town, on his way out, taking a car ride out of town? At least that is what we hope he is doing. JoePa needs to get out very quickly. So do many others at Penn State. If there is not going to be a further investigation, the Governor needs to call one, with a special prosecutor to prosecute all who knew of this horrific child predator/rapist and the horrors he brought on numerous children. Clean house.
