For those of you who are arcade junkies like myself, you probably spent some quarters on the original NBA Jam. I’m still bitter that my Seattle Supersonics winning streak was ended by a buzzer beater from Brad Lohaus. Brad “FREAKING” Lohaus!
However back in 1992, the idea for NBA Jam was still being pitched by Williams Entertainment and looking for that lucrative NBA contract to allow it’s players to be used in the game.
Below is the actual pitch video that Williams used to get the NBA license and features some rather impressive 1990’s motion-capturing and animation:
