Wakeup Call: The final moment of Thursday’s WS game, in two acts (video)

Things have been quite excruciating for Texas Rangers fans over the past two seasons. I mean, they’re on the brink of losing their second straight World Series — on their way to becoming the Buffalo Bills of baseball. David Freese’s walkoff homer in the 11th inning won it for the Cardinals, 10-9, to force Game 7, and both the ball and this poor Texas fan got some serious air when it left the field.
I love how no one else in the family seems surprised at dad’s leap off the sofa (second video below). Hey, we saw it all last year when he did the same thing.

ABOUT LAST NIGHT
Your headline of the day so far: Drunken elk hides kids’ swing set in a tree …
- This awesome Brandon Jennings quote will end the NBA lockout for sure. “The world can’t go without basketball; the world is shaped like a basketball.”
- You may be asking yourself, did he perform a quadruple Lutz, or only a triple Lutz? You know, in all the confusion, I kind of lost track myself.

TODAY IN MARK TRAIL …
Please, gentlemen! Not in front of the beaver!

If Texas really wants this WS they will have to dig down and find the extra it will take. Obviously, St. Louis wants it badly. If Texas does not want it as badly or more, and that is not the motivation for the team players, it will fail once again but it can shed the Buffalo analygies by winning Game 7. Nolan Ryan is a winner and knows how to win. Maybe he can give them a pep talk?
