First of all, if your baby is three weeks old, it’s high time you got him into a corn maze. What are you waiting for? But you’d better have an exit strategy. It happened at Connors Farm in Danvers, Mass., where a man and wife and their two kids — one 5 years old and one an infant — couldn’t find their way out of a corn maze. Their response? Call 911 for help. It should be noted that this isn’t a hedge maze, or some other solid structure. The owners of the farm pointed out that all they had to do was listen for the sound of traffic, and walk through the corn rows to the road.
But that was not to be. Darkness was falling, there were mosquitoes, and we’ve got a cell phone. Portion of the 911 call:
“I’m really scared. It’s really dark and we’ve got a 3-week-old baby with us,” said mom, who police graciously are declining to identify.
Officers, including a canine companion, came to the rescue. MyFoxBoston.com has some of the 911 call audio.
The family was found about 25 feet from the exit, by the way.

And the tragedy is that they’ve already reproduced. Twice.
