Sure, we all love Hope Solo. But how many of us stayed up all night writing a tender rap love ballad for her? The U.S. Women’s national team was working out at Sporting Kansas City’s training facility on Thursday (they have a friendly vs. Canada on Sunday), so striker C.J. Sapong took the opportunity to present Solo with a rap poem he had written just for her. The real treasure here is Solo’s reaction: she has the patience of a saint, and even plants a kiss on his cheek at the end (Sapong’s reaction to that is awesome).

“Hope Solo, Hope Solo, can you make my dream come true? There are no beaches in KC, but a hug from you will do.” Questionable lyrics, but heartfelt and true. I give it three stars.
