So what happens when a waitress accidentally drops $1,000 on Chargers fans at Qualcomm Stadium?

AP So Club Level server Heather Allison is taking orders for sushi or filet Mignon or whatever the heck they sell in the stands at Chargers games, when she trips and showers unsuspecting fans one level below with about $1,000 in cash. Makin’ it rain at Qualcomm Stadium! What do you suppose happens next?
“All my customers began screaming over the railing to the people below: ‘That’s the servers’ money,’ ” recalls Allison, who has sold refreshments in Sections 36 and 37 for five years. Fans helped collect the stray bills and, amazingly, so did the crowd below. Within 10 minutes, a security officer brought a stack of cash back up to her. “It was all there,” says the mother of four and full-time student who, after paying the concession, still pocketed $170 in tips. “Chargers fans are amazing,” she says. “We’re like a family.”
Not my family.
This isn’t to say that she wouldn’t have got the money back at other stadiums as well. At a Jets game, in addition to the cash there would have been three loaded pistols and a set of brass knuckles.

In the SuperDome in New Orleans at a Saints game, she would have also received all her money back. Together with the money, she would have received a bowl of gumbo, a plate of jambalaya, and a few beignets showered with a heavy frosting of powered sugar!
We are so glad for her and for the fans of San Diego. We have always enjoyed our trips there. The good folks of San Diego are certainly not like the fans of Los Angeles or Oakland.
