Psychiatric group says it’s OK to let your kids watch Chaz Bono dance

Few developments have caused a bigger rip in the social fabric than the newest roster for Dancing With the Stars. Not only do we have Hope Solo and Nancy Grace ready to hoof it in front of millions of viewers, but Chaz Bono is also going to give it a whirl. Chaz, of course, changed gender teams a while back, and is now a guy. And believe it or not, but this has evidently caused some parents to worry that, if their children were to watch Dancing With the Stars, this could cause gender confusion.

Not so, says the American Psychiatric Association, which has given DWTS a clean bill of mental health. From TMZ:

John M. Oldham, M.D. — the APA President — acknowledges GID is a psychiatric disorder … but also told TMZ, “There is no evidence that viewing a television game show with a transgender contestant would induce Gender Identity Disorder in young people.”

Amazingly, this still needs to be explained. For more on this subject, see Sunday’s season finale of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

amazing how Chaz went with the ‘bloated Tony Soprano’ torso look, equipped with wife-beater tank, shortly after becoming male.

I never have and never will watch the show. the fact that this freak is considered a star is reason enough not have anything to do with it. so it is the offspring of cher and that makes her a star?beyond pathetic.
