Jay Cutler and his ex-fiancee have turned the tables on all of the Cutler haters who thought he was planning a wedding just to call it off and swim in a bathtub full of gifts. Instead of keeping all the presents like we assumed he’d do, he has taken the higher ground by letting his ex-fiancee, Hills ‘star’ Kristin Cavallari, write personalized thank you notes for all the gifts for their failed wedding attempt. How Cutler of you!
One Packers fan, who sent the couple a cheese slate and a hard cheese knife, writes to Deadspin:
Perfect. I had visions of the future Mr. & Mrs. Cutler gleefully tearing open my gift. For the rest of their happily wedded lives, whenever they consumed cheese, whether with famous friends, or quietly alone in the dark watching reruns of The Hills or California Gold, it would be at the hands of a Packer fan.
Mind you, I had no intentions of using this as an opportunity to tear into Mr. Cutler like some of the ill-behaved Packer Nation. I wrote a genuinely nice card, and wished them luck, as I am about to get married in a few months and know how this stuff works. And anyways, true Packers reserve their hatred for the Vikings. And Favre. I respect our historic rivalry with the Bears.
Alas, love is lost, hope has failed, and the hilarious vision of Jay Cutler as a domesticated man trying to remember if his wife yells at him for buying 1% milk or 2% milk has vanished. In its place? MORE INTERCEPTIONS!
