Packers’ playbook ends up scattered all over Green Bay street

Ah, the approach of fall, when the leaves turn a rustic shade of brown and pages from the Green Bay Packers’ playbook blow gently down the street. Yes, the Packers’ playbook was available for viewing by squirrels and other early risers in Green Bay on Monday morning when a waste management truck lost part of its load and the pages went flying all over a suburban street. It took about an hour to clean it all up.
Of course this wasn’t exactly like the Union army finding Confederate battle plans wrapped around some cigars at Antietam. According to the Packers, there was a reason these pages were thrown into the recycling bin:
The pages in question were from the preseason game against the Cardinals and involved just special teams. The Packers told WBAY that they weren’t concerned about the spill since the pages were recycled instead of shredded, which is what they do with sensitive material.
So why weren’t they shredded? Because we’re guessing the special teams game plan for the Cardinals went something like this:
Kickoff coverage: Kick ball out of end zone, come to sideline.
Kickoff return: Watch ball sail out of end zone, come to sideline.
Oh, burn on you, Roger Goodell.
