Wakeup Call: The Padres’ Tony Hawk bobblehead is not for throwing!
Aug 18, 2011, 9:44 AM EDT
The Padres understand that people might need incentive to come see them play the Marlins, so they came up with this — the first 5,000 fans at Petco on Friday get a Tony Hawk bobblehead doll. (Please do not remove head. Not for throwing). It’s for a good cause — the doll honors the Tony Hawk Foundation, which builds skateparks in inner cities.
And speaking of shredding, the pitching matchup is Chris Volstad (3-4, 5.53) vs. Wade LeBlanc (1-2, 4.54).
