American Georgetown University men's basketball team and China's Bayi men's basketball team fight during a friendly game at Beijing Olympic Basketball Arena Reuters

Guys, not in front of Vice President Biden! Here now is video of the big brawl between Georgetown’s men’s basketball team and China’s Bayi Rockets at the Beijing Olympic Basketball Arena Wednesday. The game was part of a 10-day diplomacy tour of China commissioned by the U.S. State Department (it’s going well, I see), running concurrent to a China visit by Biden (who was not at the game). Enjoy the ritual kicking and seizing of chairs. Thanks, China! You’re lovely hosts.

IBTimes:

According to the blog Casual Hoya, a Chinese fan who attended the game blasted the Rockets and praised the Hoyas. The fan allegedly said, “A number of times it was obvious the students didn’t commit fouls. Bayi is a professional basketball ruffian/hooligan gang.”

It boiled over with approximately nine minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. A player for the Rockets committed a hard foul on Georgetown guard Jason Clark. The junior took exception to the foul and mouthed something to the Rockets player. From there, another Rockets player came over and the brawl was on.

Huffington Post:

The melee was the latest instance of on-court fighting by China, whose players have been fined tens of thousands of dollars by the world and Asian federations for scrapping with opponents.

Why so angry, China? Could it be because daddy cut of off the Internet?
