I know you’ve been worried about this, but fret no longer: The New Jersey Nets front office have been cleared by the NBA to attend the Kris Humphries-Kim Kardashian wedding. Whew!

General manager Billy King and other members of the Nets’ basketball operations department are expected to attend the ceremony of their free agent forward, the official told The Associated Press on Tuesday on condition of anonymity because the guest list was to remain private.

According to lockout rules, players and team officials are not supposed to mingle, nor text, nor friend each other on Facebook. So special permission must be granted for weddings. I just wonder if new owner Mikhail Prokhorov. I hear he’s fun at parties.

With all those Kardashians hanging around chasing after pro athletes, they better bring protection. And I mean the heavy-duty stuff, too.
