The Summer of Ian continued recently when the the young Diamondbacks fan appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and received a pair of season tickets for the D-Backs, plus a little subtle sarcasm from Kimmel himself. Although he mostly played it straight with the two kids, Ian McMillan and Nicholas Goodfellow, the plaque (pictured) Kimmel awarded to Ian was pretty humorous: “Kid Who Gave A Ball To Another Kid.” Because that’s really all Ian did. It was nice, and commendable, but come on. Aren’t we making kind of too big a deal out of it?

“And that’s a good lesson to children. If you’re going to do something nice, make sure you try and do it on TV.”
