Turns out that the Mariners-Athletics game at Safeco on Tuesday night was the place to be … especially if you were sitting somewhere near third base. First you had Fake Ichiro interfering with a live ball on what turned out to be a triple by Dustin Ackley. Then this: Brendan Ryan’s mad dash around the bases when no one was covering second, or third, following his infield single.
The weirdest thing of all? The Mariners won.

Give that kid a raise for paying attention.

Our daughter loves baseball and teaching (her career). She is going to use this example to her new students about what great things can happen when you pay attention. A good object lesson for the children (and for us all!).
