Least surprising thing of the day: Diver kisses shark, then gets bitten (rather graphic video)

They say that kissing a nurse shark is just like kissing your girlfriend … if your girlfriend has powerful jaws that are equipped with hundreds of small, razor-sharp teeth. Florida diver Dave Marcel knows this only too well.

As you know it’s Shark Week over at Animal Planet, which is why they rolled out this clip from a couple of years ago showing Marcel leading tourists on a dive in Key Largo, FL, which features interaction with nurse sharks. Look, you can pet them, and even give them a kiss. Nurse sharks are very tolerant of humans, but don’t try to kiss them on the mouth on the first date.
