Get Back: Paul McCartney may not be headlining London Olympics ceremonies after all

Getty Images A representative for Paul McCartney said that reports the singer would headline the London Olympics Opening Ceremonies were “all speculation,” and that neither the former Beatle nor the London Olympic Organizing Committee have agreed to anything.
Which opens the door once again for my choice: Herman’s Hermits.
The Examiner reports that Olympic officials were in touch with the Liverpool Echo, and the officials told the paper it’s too early to know for sure who would be participating. “We are still a year away from opening ceremony. Discussions are taking place with lots of high-profile people but it is too early to confirm anyone,” said the official.
I don’t blame the London Olympic Committee, or McCartney, for being nervous. After all, not every country has an Always Enjoyable Giant Inflatable Beaver.
