In addition to having one of the greatest logos in Minor League Baseball, the Jamestown Jammers have some interesting promotions from time to time, and Wednesday night is going to be one of those times. The Single-A New York-Penn League team will celebrate Lucille Ball’s 100th birthday by wearing the nifty jerseys you see in the photo, which will be auctioned following the game. Here’s another view.

Why Lucy? She was born in Jamestown, and the city is holding a Lucille Ball Festival of Comedy this week in honor of her 100th. The jerseys will be auctioned to benefit the Lucy-Desi Center.

Does the misspelling make the sign itself a collectible item?
