As the Tour De France nears the end, one of my favorite things about the event is the crazy fans who attempt to run up to the riders as they cross the various stages of this rather grueling event.
During the Alpe-d’Huez climb of stage 19, three-time winner Alberto Contador had a run-in with a fan wearing a doctor’s outfit and the below video appears to show him hitting the fan with his hand:
Some may ask, why did Contador punch him? The fan’s choice of attire might be the reason why; Contador came under scrutiny last year for possible blood doping allegations which could cost him his Tour De France titles and a possible two-year ban from the sport.
