Tebow’s football tosses to Tahoe Celebrity Golf fans are less than impressive

The 17th fairway at Edgewood Tahoe is where a lot of the fun happens at the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship (see linked photo): especially when the NFL guys play through. That’s when fans on the beach toss footballs to the athletes, who sign the balls and throw them back. Here’s Tim Tebow obliging some of those fans … except I have to say that of the seven or eight footballs he tossed back into the crowd on Saturday, only one was a spiral.

Disturbing news for the Broncos, who just indicated that the starting quarterback job was Tebow’s to lose this year.

Of course it should be noted that many of the footballs had autograph pens attached to them with rubber bands. But that didn’t seem to phase Aaron Rodgers, whose tosses were crisp and accurate (laser beach arm).

Your last-place finisher in the tournament (83rd) was Jimmer Fredette, who was paired with Tebow on Friday, Charles Barkley on Saturday and Kevin Nealon on Sunday.

Rick Chandler slept on the beach last night, and was awakened by chipmunks going through his pockets.

      Impressive. Especially considering that the ad was only 15 seconds.

    Tebow was throwing kids footballs- probably rubber and you said they had pens hanging off them- Rodgers threw a football that said NFL on it- not a kids ball.
    Crappy writing.

      No, crappy reading, actually. The Rodgers video has nothing to do with the footballs they were throwing on No. 17. Rodgers was throwing the same type footballs as Tebow (and no, not rubber). The video is a whole separate thing.
