We all know that USA soccer player Abby Wambach is one tough cookie but the below video might put her toughness level off of the charts.

In happened during the USA’s attempt to qualify for the 2011 World Cup against Mexico back in 2010, before the start of extra time, Wambach accidentally hit heads with a Mexico player and collapsed to the grass.

After the initial shock, she got up with her head profusely bleeding and received the staple treatment to cover the gash and continued on:

    That’s how we breed ‘em up here in the tundra around Rochester!

    Kudos to the women’s soccer team too! It was a great run, just a few too many unconverted opportunities. Great game played by both sides!
