You’ll never believe what Olympic softball player Jennie Finch named her baby

Time Magazine called her the most famous softball player in history, as she led the U.S. to Olympic medals in 2004 (gold) and 2008 (silver). Jennie Finch then went on to play for the Chicago Bandits, retiring in 2010 to “focus on her family.” Perhaps she focused a little too much?

Jennie Finch delivered her and Casey Daigle‘s second son, Diesel Dean Daigle, on Sunday, June 19 at 10:25 p.m., the couple confirm to PEOPLE exclusively.
Hi, my name is Deisel Daigle. Here’s my brother, Ace Shane Daigle (this is true). If you’re here to beat us up, the line forms at the jungle gym. Yes, my mom is still hot.

Amazing the amount of ignorance that floats around narrow-minded, opinionated individuals! Jennie and her husband picked out their son’s name and now everyone wants to bash it?! Really?! First of all, my 7 year old son’s name is Diezil James…it is a very unique name that we picked out. He has never one day in his 7 years of life been made fun of for his name…if anything, we always get a response of “that’s really cool!” Maybe these negatively opinionated individuals should be happy that Jennie and her husband were blessed with a healthy baby boy and not be so concerned about their choice of names…that is their business, not yours!
