Two ugly crashes at 24 Hours of Le Mans (video)

Saw Super 8 last night, where scenes like the one pictured here were common (favorite line: “Drugs are so bad!”). But when it happens in real life, it’s not so good. They happened at 24 Hours of Le Mans, as Audi’s Allan McNish hit a wall (pictured), and amazingly, survived. In the second crash, Audi driver Mike Rockenfeller lost control and slammed into a railing, necessitating an ambulance rescue. But he’s “OK.”

Do they really race after dark at Le Mans? That’s insane.

Audi No. 2 won the race.
