Wake Up Call: Flash mob turns regular kids’ soccer game into huge event (video)
Jun 6, 2011, 9:00 AM EDT
It was just a normal league match between two random under-14 boys soccer teams in Denmark, with the usual crowd on hand: a handful of parents, a few siblings and perhaps a stray dog. But suddenly, it gets very surreal. Buses pull up, and out stream hundreds of fans wearing the teams’ respective colors who begin filling the sidelines. But that wasn’t all: also showing up to the game were professional announcers, media, two marching bands and even former international player Martin Jörgensen to conduct a coin flip. WTH?
The kids were stunned: they had no idea the unique flash mob was going to appear. But suddenly they were playing their match in a Champions League atmosphere.
It was all put on by an organization called The Football Feeling, which was producing the video to publicize a Under-21 Championship in Denmark. Still, extremely cool.

Here is Princeton, Mo. resident Robert Shreeves, 40, who was arrested after he was observed floating down the Missouri River in a kiddie pool.
Sioux City Police Sgt. Mike Post said Shreeves was observed floating down the river at 9:54 p.m. on a small inflatable pool that was approximately six inches tall with two floats on the side. He said the raft was approximately 3.5 by 5.5 feet.
Shreeves was arrested by the Sioux City Police Department at the boat ramp on Larsen Park Road for a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication.
Authorities said Thursday night they had received numerous calls from people who observed a man floating down the river in a raft. One dispatcher said the people kept calling in because they thought it was a dumb idea.
