Soccer should allow more use of the hands if it leads to stuff like this. Wando High (Mt. Pleasant, SC) is playing powerhouse league rival Irmo (the top-ranked HS team in the nation) in a scoreless state title game, when suddenly, Brandon Burkholder decides that a flip pass is the best pass on a sideline throw-in. Teammate Hamilton Carlin converts for the goal, and the announcers go wild (but only after seeing the replay). Wando won, 3-1, ending Irmo’s perfect season.
Did you catch No. 20 for Irmo, who tried to trip Carlin after the goal? Classy.

The opposing team had all dyed their hair blonde too. Nice showing of team unity, fancy boys.

I don’t watch soccer, but the guy throwing the ball in appears to have landed on the line. Before he let go. Shouldn’t that have been disallowed or something?
